I’m Jim, an architecture student with a passion for timeless design and functional simplicity. Inspired by my studies and my love for modernism, I realized the importance of experimenting with materials, forms, and most importantly—color. Too often, furniture today feels predictable, neutral, and uninspired. I believe it should be so much more.

At canvas, we create furniture that isn’t just functional but also an invitation to get creative. Whether through bold colors, custom finishes, or unique configurations, our designs encourage personal expression and individuality.

I’ve always been fascinated by the work of Luis Barragán, whose architecture celebrates vivid colors, light, and emotion. His use of deep pinks, warm yellows, and bold blues shows how color can transform a space, evoke feelings, and tell a story. That philosophy is something I carry into my own designs—furniture should be more than just an object; it should bring energy into a home
